What Sets Me Apart
As a certified teacher, I use whole body learning, engaging and hands on learning opportunities, all backed by the science of reading research. I also work with parents to support them as their child’s literacy teacher.
Hands on Approach
Readers of all ages benefit from using their whole body to learn to read. Using hands on learning activities help the brain form neural pathways that last a life time. I use art, games and other fun activities to help students of all ages learn to read.
Backed by Research
The Science of Reading research is clear about how to help children and even adults learn to read. The curriculum, strategies and activities I use with students are all backed by research.
Systematic Phonics
I use the UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute) curriculum along with the Wired for Reading approach to support readers with Dyslexia and other reading disabilities. These curriculums provide systematic, consistent reading instruction that set students up for success.
Parent Partnership
I work with parents on how to support their child at home, provide resources such as practice activities and games as well reading instruction videos for parents.

In home Tutoring
One on on personalized reading instruction done in the privacy of your home. I bring all of the resources with me to work directly with your child. Parent participation is encouraged but not required.
Parent Reading Coach
I provide research-backed strategies, practical tools, and real-time feedback to help you confidently support—or even teach—your child's literacy at home. Together, we'll create a customized plan that builds your child's reading skills while giving you the knowledge and confidence to make learning both effective and enjoyable. In person or virtual meetings. 15 minutes of me working with the student and 45 minutes of me working with the parents.
Virtual Tutoring
One on one personalized reading instruction done over zoom. I will provide you with a list of materials to have on hand and print out to use during sessions. Parent participation is encouraged but not required.
